Parking

It was a necessary evil to try and fit parking on site, but this was one of the reasons we wanted to change the access to the property and make use of the empty space in front, bordered by street on two sides and the workshop on the third side. Here’s a photo of the view from the street beforehand, you can see the dead space to the left.

Era un mal necesario que hacía falta un aparcamiento en la finca. Fue el motivo por el cual queríamos cambiar el acceso a la calle y aprovechar del espacio vacío en frente, delimitado por calles en dos lados y el taller en el tercero. Aquí se ve el acceso desde la calle antes de empezar con la zona inútil a la izquierda.

With the space cleared, the next step was to outline with iron the area and separate what will be garden from carpark. / Con el espacio limpio, el próximo paso fue marcar con chapa los limites del jardín y el parking.

After that, a layer of gravel for drainage and top soil for the garden.

Soon, garden, hedges, grass, pebbles and new gates…. Time for us to get our hands dirty.
